Job description:

Conduct research and analysis for a long-term project that uses operations research and other methods to solve complex problems. Required skills:

• Detailed knowledge of remote sensing for RF intercept and performance is required to help develop and evaluate the system calibration strategies for each application. The application must be aware of the challenges of ship borne, mobile and airborne system deployments.

The successful candidate will be accountable for executing and improving on the Construction Division Accounting and Finance activities. There will be approximately four to five staff members indirectly or directly reporting to the Assistant Controller. This is a high-energy and very dynamic business environment and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable in this type of setting. Must be able to work with multiple long distance offices. Construction accounting experience required. Government Contract accounting experience preferred. Use of Costpoint software preferred. Excel experience required. The salary range will be between $90K and $115K, DOE. Education: B.A. degree in accounting or finance

Basic Duties include:

• Oversee the Accounting Supervisor who manages the daily accounting functions.
• Work with Operations personnel monthly to prepare Estimates at Complete and subcontractor accruals.
• Calculates revenue monthly and works with Corporate Finance office for posting.
• Preparing timely and accurate information for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including appropriate analysis and commentary.
• Assisting the cash flow projections
• Identifying and suggesting improvements to the existing accounting systems to develop consistent, reliable and proactive standards and procedures
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance and other departments to define, develop and implement innovative methods of data utilization to achieve company objectives in a highly efficient manner focusing on localizing standards and procedures developed by Corporate Finance
• Ensuring compliance with government and reporting regulations
• Leading and mentoring accounting staff to ensure appropriate and strong staffing of teams.

Required Management Competencies
